Hey friends! I know it has been so long since I wrote a post. I am still working on switching over to a new website for a new year! Also, as many of you know if you have followed along in my instastories – I moved! We built a house in Jacksonville and had to move over the holidays….so it has been VERY busy if you can imagine! I never realized how different it would be to make the move into a house from an apartment. There are sooo many new things to learn and prepare for.

Speaking of a New Year, let’s talk 2018! So, I know I may be a little late to the game, but with everything going on …I don’t really feel like I had taken the time to sit and reflect on the things I want to work on in 2018. I’ll be setting my resolutions for a new date of 1/15/2018 instead of 1/1/2018! Haha Sometimes REAL life gets in the way and you need to do things on your own time rather than the usual “norm” – You have to DO YOU!

Well, I wanted to talk about some of the new resolutions I have set for myself in 2018.

  1. Fitness. I know this is probably on everyone’s list every single year, but I have really fallen off the wagon. The beginning of last year I was in SUCH a good routine. I had found Orange Theory in 2016 and I was in a great groove. I was working out 5-6 times a week and making great food choices. I hurt my foot last year and was put in a boot for a few months and after that I could never really get back into it. I wanted to start sooner, but in the process of moving, the holidays and having NO FRIDGE right now ... it has been a little difficult to make the right food choices. I know those are ALL excuses…and that is why I’m really hitting it hard starting next week when we get our Fridge. I don’t have a specific goal in mind…I just want to feel fit again and make the right choices in 2018.

  2. Don’t care so much. Wow, this is something I REALLY struggle with. I am constantly worrying about what people think or over analyzing situations. I truly need to work on taking a step back and not worry so much. Let things go. Whenever I overly care… I become very stressed and overwhelmed. I’m excited to work on this one because I think it will really change me for the better.

  3. Get organized. This encompasses a lot for me. There are so many times during the week that I go to bed at 10:30/11:00 and then I have to be up so early for work ...my work day usually starts by 7:00 and I have quite the commute! ....then, I'm absolutely exhausted because I hardly got any rest. Also, I get home and I hate doing "chores" during the week...so this year all of that is going to change for me! I'm going to get organized! On Sundays, I am going to MAKE SURE all of my things are ready to go for the week. This includes meal prep, laundry, etc. When these things are in line it makes for a much easier week. Also, during the week... I am going to try and be better about picking up after myself, or throwing a load of laundry in and finishing the entire process, wash ..dry.. fold...done.... I'm so bad about letting laundry pile up and not folding it and then it just sits in a ball. NO MORE of that for 2018! It will make me feel 100% if I follow through with this...so wish me luck because this will probably be the toughest!

  4. Set new family goals. So, I think this one takes time and I don't have a good answer for what this should entail right at this moment. For the longest time...Chad and I just have been focused on getting into our dream home. Thankfully we were so blessed in 2017 to be able to build a home in our new hometown of Jacksonville, Florida and its everything we could have wanted and more. I feel like we both have looked at each other a couple of times and are thinking...ok, what is next? I'm not really sure how to answer that question because I don't think we know what is next. I think the important thing to do this year is really take a step back and slow down and enjoy what we have been blessed with so far. Then, as time moves forward we can figure out what our next goals are together as a family.

I hope ya'll have set some great goals for yourself in 2018. It is always nice to sit down and reflect on what you have accomplished so far in life and how you can get closer to your dreams and goals.

As always, thanks for reading! I truly have enjoyed getting to know everyone that is following along and I can't thank you enough for the support you have shown me so far! I am so ready to kick this blog into high gear and kill it in 2018! Thank you for supporting that dream of mine.

With love,

Jordon
